Business Impact:
With the presentation of our proof of concept, we demonstrated to our client the innovations possible in their planning software, Procon. As a result, Maidl TC benefited particularly in further acquisitions and through the continuous development of Procon, which is offered by Maidl to customers.
What we were asked for:
The vision: Development of an AI model that reduces tunnel construction costs by predicting the need for drilling foam, wear, and maintenance. By incorporating a range of sensor data from the drilling machine, manual analysis should be reduced, and human errors in identifying failures should be minimized.
What we delivered:
Despite having limited resources at Maidl TC and on our side, we successfully demonstrated how future versions of Procon can significantly reduce the operating costs of tunnel boring machines.
Anomaly Detection: The AI detects regularities and exceptions by utilizing complex correlations from a combination of a wide range of sensor data.
