By presenting our proof of concept, we showed our customer what innovations are possible in their Procon planning software. As a result, Maidl TC benefited in particular in the further acquisition and through the continuous development of Procon, which is offered by Maidl to customers.
The vision: to develop an AI model that reduces the cost of tunneling by predicting the need for drilling foam, wear and maintenance. To reduce manual analysis and minimize human error in identifying failures by incorporating a range of sensor data from the boring machine.
Although the project had limited resources at Maidl TC and ourselves, we successfully demonstrated how future versions of Procon can significantly reduce the operating costs of tunnel boring machines .
Anomaly detection: The AI recognizes regularities and exceptions by using complex correlations from the combination of a variety of sensor data.
