QAware ranks 3rd for Young Talents 2026: What perspective means to us

QAware took third place in the “Best Employers for Young Talents 2026” rankings. What makes us particularly happy about this is that this award is based on how young employees actually experience their workplace — a question that goes far beyond just starting a career.

In 2026, Great Place to Work will, for the first time, recognize companies that offer young talents attractive prospects for starting their careers and professional development. The evaluation is based on an independent employee survey. For Young Talents, factors such as experiences with trust, development, purpose, and well-being are taken into account.

More than half of our team belongs to the relevant Young Talents target group. So at QAware, this award affects quite a few people.

For us, “prospects” isn’t just about climbing the career ladder

Anyone who starts at QAware shouldn’t have to wait to be included in decision-making. New colleagues immediately become part of real client projects and work alongside experienced software engineers, architects, consultants, and project managers.

With Rookie Week, we create a shared starting point for this. The week focuses on topics such as professional programming, testing, and software architecture. After that, the path becomes more individualized.

That’s because, at QAware, career advancement doesn’t automatically mean “more management.” If you want to delve deeper into the technical side, you can do that. If you want to focus more on consulting, you can do that, too. Our technical and consulting career paths are on par with the management track, and switching between them is possible.

With our career model, we’re making a fundamental point: You don’t have to drift away from the area where you want to excel just to advance.

Learning is part of it. But the bigger picture is broader.

Of course, we invest in learning — through QAtalks, coaching, technical and personal development courses, our Engineering Camp, and other programs. QAcampus provides a solid framework for this exchange.

But perspective doesn’t come from cramming as many training sessions as possible into the calendar.

It also arises when someone can express a different opinion. When a good idea is allowed to challenge an existing process. When mistakes can be addressed. When people take responsibility for decisions while knowing that they don’t have to know everything.

It is precisely this attitude that repeatedly emerges in our own identity-building efforts: questioning things with sound arguments, contributing critically, and actively shaping QAware.

And who turns that into a culture?

QAware can develop career paths, organize learning formats, and create spaces for responsibility.

Whether this results in a great workplace is decided elsewhere: among the people who share knowledge, trust one another, challenge each other’s ideas, seek solutions together, and show new colleagues how collaboration actually works here.

That’s exactly why this third-place finish means so much to us. With this award, Great Place to Work recognizes a work environment that our colleagues themselves have evaluated.

And it’s they who shape what QAware is like every day.
