QAware will support the Rosenheim Computer Science Award in the coming years
For many years, the Rosenheim Computer Science Award has been presented to recognize outstanding theses at the Faculty of Computer Science at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.
QAware is providing the Rosenheim Computer Science Network e.V.—the alumni and support association of the Faculty of Computer Science at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences—with earmarked funds totaling 20,000 euros. This ensures that funding for the Rosenheim Computer Science Prize will continue in the coming years.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Bayerl, Chairman of Rosine e.V., Dr. Josef Adersberger, Managing Director of QAware GmbH; Prof. Dr. Silke Lechner-Greite, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science; and Margarete Marburger, Treasurer of the association.
Prof. Dr. Sebastian Bayerl emphasized the importance of this support: “We are very pleased that, thanks to this generous donation to Rosine e.V., we can continue the tradition of the Rosenheim Computer Science Award and continue to present the award for outstanding work in the future. We are particularly pleased that this support comes from our long-standing partner QAware, a company that was co-founded by alumni of TH Rosenheim and embodies the TH Rosenheim computer science DNA.”
The donation also underscores the strong ties between the School of Computer Science, its alumni and support association Rosine e.V., and companies in the IT sector.
For QAware, collaboration with universities is an important part of its commitment to young talent in computer science. The earmarked donation to Rosine e.V. for the Rosenheim Computer Science Prize supports the Faculty of Computer Science at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences in highlighting outstanding theses and recognizing the academic achievements of its graduates.
